General Health Warranty
The Companion(s) is in good health and has been examined at least twice by a veterinarian while in The Breeder(s) possession.  The Companion(s) is guaranteed free from communicable diseases for a period of 72 hours from the date of sale. The Companion(s) is not guaranteed against accidental death or injury regardless of circumstance.

The Companion(s) needs to be isolated for a period of 72 hours from any animal contact. Please have The Companion(s) examined by your veterinarian as soon as possible so you are confident that the kitten is completely healthy.  Bring a fresh stool sample with you. If found deficient in any way The Breeder(s) must be contacted within 72 hours of accepting the companion.

If a defect is found then depending on the nature of the defect The Breeder(s) will, at The Breeder(s) sole discretion, either

  • Offer a full or partial refund
  • Offer treatment for the deficiency
  • Offer a replacement kitten of equal quality and value.

It is further agreed that The Companion(s) will be feed the diet recommended by The Breeder(s) for a period of no less than one month. If there is to be a change to a new diet then that change must begin after the first month has expired and be done slowly over a three week period.

1.) The Buyer(s) agrees to the following:

  1. To provide a good clean healthy loving home which at a minimum includes proper cat food, full time shelter from the elements, full and complete accident related and  preventative medical care as well as the required exercise and of course lots of affection.
  2. The Companion(s) is not to be re-vaccinated after the age of 12 weeks as he/she has had all of its kitten vaccinations, including rabies. Annual adult booster vaccinations, Rabies and FeLV are of course allowed.
  3. Do not vaccinate The Companion(s) for FIP or FIV as these are more dangerous to indoor cats then it is of potential help to them.
  4. The Companion(s) will be neutered or spayed by a licensed veterinarian by the age of 7 months. We have no issues with early (16 weeks and on) neutering/spaying as publicly supported by the CMVA, the OVMA, the AVMA and the AAHA.
  5. If The Buyer(s) wishes to allow The Companion(s) outdoors it will be with full time supervision.
  6. The Companion(s) will not under go any form of cosmetic surgery or be subjected to any surgery that would compromise the full use of its claws, without the express written consent of The Breeder(s).

These conditions will exist for the life of The Companion(s) and failure to meet these conditions may at the discreation of The Breeder(s) result in all warranties being void or the companion being repossessed.

2.)  Congenital Defects or Genetic Disease Warranty
The Companion(s) is guaranteed to be free from congenital defects or genetic diseases for a period of two years from date of this contract. If found to have a congenital defect or genetic disease that requires medical treatment then at the sole discretion of The Breeder(s) one or more of the following options will be offered:

  1. it can be returned to The Breeder(s) for a replacement of equal quality.
  2. it can be kept by the owner and a credit will be offered towards the future purchase of another kitten/cat from The Breeder(s).  The percentage will be determined at the sole discretion of The Breeder(s).
  3. if euthanasia is necessary or imminent, a replacement kitten will be given.  The Companion(s) is not to be euthanized without the prior knowledge of The Breeder(s) except in the case where a veterinarian puts it in writing that he or she considers it to be the only humane alternative.

If a replacement or credit is requested The Buyer(s) agree to grant full access to all veterinary records to The Breeder(s). Veterinary records include copies of actual visit cards to veterinarians stating vaccinations, injuries, test results, etc. during the period the kitten is owned by The Buyer(s).  If The Companion(s) was euthanized then an autopsy is required to confirm a medical diagnosis before any replacement will be given. If diagnosed with a minor imperfection that requires no treatment then no credit will be given.

3.) Rehoming
Should it become necessary for any reason to part with The Companion(s) then The Buyer(s) agree to notify The Breeder(s) at the first opportunity and to give The Breeder(s) the first opportunity to relocate The Companion(s) at no expense to The Buyer(s). The Buyer(s) may not under any conditions accept monies in exchange for The Companion(s).

4.) Breeding Rights
The Companion(s) was purchased as a “PET” and there are no breeding rights included. Upon receipt of proof of spaying or neutering T.I.C.A. 3 generation registration papers will be supplied to The Buyer(s).
In some cases, and at The Breeders discretion, breeding rights may be purchased by paying the difference in price of a pet and a breeder. At a minimum that value will be $1500 with the first pick of the litter at no cost to The Breeder(s) or $2000 without the first pick kitten.  A separate written agreement would be required before breeding rights and registration papers would be given.

Accidental Breeding
In the case of an accidental breeding then it is The Buyer(s) responsibility to immediately notify The Breeder(s) of the situation. Failure to do so will result in the accident being treated, and subject to the same penalties, as a non authorized breeding. If properly notified The Breeder(s) may, at their sole desecration either,

  • take possessions of the kittens, as soon as is reasonable
  • offer to sell breeding rights if it is decided The Companion(s) and off spring are of suitable quality.

Non-authorized Breeding
Wild expressions is a devoted ethical breeder who is very strongly opposed to breeding done by inexperienced or non-authorized individuals. If The Breeder(s) believes that a non-authorized breeding has occurred they have the right to request that The Companion(s) be examined by a veterinarian of The Breeder(s) choice at the Breeder(s) cost. If The Buyer(s) refuses to allow The Companion(s) to be examined then it will be deemed that The Buyer(s) has indeed been involved in non-authorized breeding.

If The Companion(s) has been used for non-authorized breeding The Buyer(s) will be required at the Breeder(s) sole discretion to surrender to The Breeder(s)

  • The Companion(s)
  • all available off spring of The Companion(s) with the clear understanding that they are the property of The Breeder(s) or if the off spring have been sold or placed then The Buyer(s) will supply a copy of all associated records including a list of names and full contact information of the owners of the kittens. The full amount the Buyer(s) received for the kittens will be turned over to The Breeder(s).

Failure to do so will result in damages being assessed against The Buyer(s) in favor of The Breeder(s) at the full current value of a breeder quality companion with no discount for monies already paid and a value of $750 per kitten. If the number of kittens can not be ascertained then it will be assumed a minimum of four kittens were birthed and placed.

5.) General Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers
The Breeder(s) can not be held responsible for contagious diseases that are not evident during the initial 72 hour guarantee period. No refunds will be given after 72 hours and no refund or replacement will be given for any condition or defect caused by accident, neglect or malnutrition.  The Buyer(s) are responsible to provide immediate veterinary care for any sign of illness or distress.  Failure to meet any of these terms may at The Breeder(s) discretion render this guarantee null and void.

The Breeder(s) can not be held liable for any damages, injury or disease caused by the Companion(s) regardless of the nature of the damages, injury or disease. The Buyer(s) need to understand that when dealing with live animals things can and do happen and they agree that they are willing to accept the full liability of the risks and challenges that go with taking on the responsiblities of parenting the Companion(s). Under no circumstances shall any of the liability be transferred to the Breeder(s).

The Breeder(s) assumes no liability for veterinarian costs or any other expenses incurred by The Buyer(s) regardless of cause or reason. Under no condition will The Breeder(s) be responsible for costs that exceed the original price paid for The Companion(s) minus the deposit. If a replacement kitten is required then it is understood that it may take time for The Breeder(s) to produce a litter and the specific kitten offered for replacement will be at the sole desecration of The Breeder(s).

If The Breeder(s) are forced to seek legal remedy to enforce this contract then the costs associated with doing so will be fully covered by The Buyer(s). If a dispute arises that requires any form of mediation or the intervention of the courts then it is understood that the venue will be Hastings County, Ontario, Canada.
