On-Site Maintenance
Our on-site services are aimed at privately owned aquariums whether they be in offices, waiting rooms or private homes. We offer a wide range of options such as one time service calls, gift certificates and various contracted levels of service. If you have requirements that go beyond the hourly rate then we would be pleased to quote you a price.

Basic service fee  $50.00/hr
Unlike most companies we do not charge more for salt water then fresh water for our maintenance services. Our basic service fee can include any variety of services but most times it fall into a group of activities.

Full Maintenance
This includes cleaning the glass inside and outside, cleaning and pruning plants as required, cleaning substrate as required, cleaning the filtration system and cleaning or changing filtration medium as necessary and testing and adjusting the water (materials & chemicals extra).

Two-week Partial Water Change  
Involves changing from 10% to 25% of the water as well as checking the filter medium and replacing it or cleaning it as required and testing and adjusting the water (materials & chemicals extra).

New Aquarium Set-up   
We will come to your home and set up any new or existing aquarium equipment you may have, fill the tank and condition the water. This is usually an extended process that may involve several visits to ensure a proper environment for your pet(s) as cycling water usually requires 6 to 9 weeks (materials and chemicals extra).

Additional Information
The time to service an aquarium can vary depending upon on quite a range of things but the average hobby aquarium typically takes between 1-3 hours to service completely and properly.

Our normal hours for service calls is 9:00 am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday (please note this is different then the retail store hours) and if prior arrangements have been made we often make service calls over the weekend . Existing clients have access to us 24/7 although emergency call charges may apply.

All regular services are offered at a cost of $25.00 per hour with a 1-hour minimum. Emergency and after hours services are generally subject to a flat $50.00 charge for showing up and then the regular rates.

Typical prices for a service call
A 45 to 75 gal will generally range from $25 to $50 and a 75 to 110 gal generally runs from $50 to $75. Those prices do not include travel time, supplies & taxes.

Missed appointments without advanced notification are subject to a one-hour minimum.

We accept cash, cheques (with proper identification), certified cheques, money-orders, or all major credit cards accepted in the shop or online through Pay Pal. Clients that have a contract with us are billed monthly and for all others payment is due at the time of the services call.
